F.A.R. HUSQVARNA RACER SCORES ANOTHER PODIUM THIS WEEKEND IN PENNSYLVANIA!!

F.A.R.Husqvarna/Rockwell time's Jason Thomas put in another excellent performance in the XC2 PRO-LITES Class this weekend, with a close-fought 3rd place finish at round 11 of this year's GNCC Championship, the V.P. Racing Fuels Mountain Ridge event, held in Somerset,Pennsylvania.Racing his familiar Husqvarna TXC250F,Thomas worked his way up to the front of the XC2 pack,& was actually running in 5th spot overall, before a last-lap high-speed collision with a tree stump cost him valuable seconds & dropped him back by two positions.Thomas still managed to pull back some more valuable Championship points though,as the late-season battle at the top of the XC2 PRO-LITES leaderboard hots up.
The British-born Cross-Country racer, who made the difficult decision to leave his family & friends & base his career in the United States after visiting America with former World Enduro Champion Paul Edmondson in 2005, was delighted to announce publicly in Pennsylvania that he has been invited by the GNCC series organizers to represent the series at the final round of the JNCC Championships in Japan in November.Jason said after yesterday's race: " Im extremely proud & honoured to have been invited by the GNCC Championship organizers to represent them,& this series,at the final round of the Japanese Cross-Country Championships in Japan in November.I think it speaks volumes about the supportive attitude,& positive approach towards the sport of Cross-Country racing here in America, that a World-leading organization like the GNCC's,should offer me,a foreign rider, the opportunity of representing them in Japan, and i hope it sends a message out to the Off-Road racing World in general that this series currently provides THE premier opportunity available, for an Athelete to achieve success & career fulfillment within the sport of Cross-Country racing."
Jason will be accompanied on his trip to Japan by his F.A.R. Husqvarna Mechanic & close personal friend,Joey Maurer. His next GNCC appearance will be at round 12 of the series, the I.T.P. Powerline Park event, which will be held over the weekend of October 8th/9th,at St Clairsville,Ohio.
