WIRRAL OFF-ROAD - LLANFYLLIN RACE REPORT.

Jason Thomas on his MORRIS LUBRICANTS/CORE YAMAHA 250 was in simply untouchable form once again at the latest WOR Events production at what is easily one of the UK`s finest off road venues. Thomas was just minutes short of lapping the entire field in the 2.5hr duration and had an amazing 6 minute lead at the 40 minute point, this ending up 13 minutes by the end of play. With a smooth style and effortless amounts of grip the young Telford based rider was worthy of all the plaudits that go with winning a prestigious WOR event. WOR Events race Boss Steve Ireland is convinced that Jason is pretty much unbeatable in a XC type event at the moment and is looking forward to seeing how the future pans out for Jason in coming events.



Mr Consistent, Lincoln Brewster was as always there or there bout`s, pushing hard and chomping at the bit to take a very well earned 2nd place after a race long battle with Andy Cripps. Cripps dropped off the pace late on with over heating problems and this allowed Justin `THE DADDY` Wilson to take the final podium place with a great ride. Wilson was out on a Yamaha 250 for the 1st time and also riding a WOR Event for the first time in a while, as the race progressed Wilson got quicker and quicker and was going great guns come the last 45 minutes. And so a quality line up on the podium for the top boys in the event.




With rain on the Saturday absolutely soaking the venues parking area it was worrying to say the least as to how the awesome circuit was to hold out. There was no need to worry though as the track was perfect, staying ride able and solid throughout although obviously it would have been much easier and longer in the sunshine. Once again this team at WOR Events have unearthed another gem of a venue and this new one added to the portfolio means that WOR have over 30 venues at their disposal, quite stunning really.
