CANADIAN ENDURO CROSS - ROUND ONE.

7th Sep 2010

THOMAS WINS IN CANADA.

JASON THOMAS WINS CANADIAN ENDURO X.

British Cross-Country rider Jason Thomas won the first round of the canadian enduro cross championship, held in Barons,Alberta. The 24 year old Brit looked awesome from the minute the flag dropped in the first heat,Thomas blasted over the first log section to lead the chasing pack around what was a demanding technical track, which had huge tire sections, long rock beds, and very challenging log sections. Thomas won his heat over last years canadian cross country champion, Jason Schrage, who also finished 16th at last man standing, and Nick Schrage rounded out the top three. The top 10 from the two heat races went on to the front line and the best of the rest lined up on row two. The main was a repeat of the first, with the British blur, blasting over the first log section and checking out on his way to his first, canadian championship race win.

Thomas: the race for me went awesome, i got a good jump and pulled a small lead, the crowed were awesome today cheering me all the way around the track, which was very challenging in places and i didn`t really have chance to rest,my ktm 200 worked awesome in the technical stuff, and i would like to say a big thank you to alf at lethbridge KTM for supporting me and KTM for all there help,I`m really looking forward to getting into the woods now.
