BIG BUCKS THE WAY FORWARD FOR MONSTER RAT.
Monster Energy Andrews Yamaha rider Jason Thomas scored
another GNCC Podium in the XC2 PRO-LITES class at this weekends Pirelli
Big Buck event, held at Union, South Carolina. The YZ250F rider took 3rd
place in his class & actually finished the race in 7th overall,
which makes it his 3rd top ten overall finish from four starts so far
this season. In actual fact four of the top ten overall finishers were
XC2 riders, which is an indication of how ultra competitive this class
is becoming.
` I got a decent start for once` Said Jason, `We were all really flying,it was crazy fast in the woods!!then I took a wrong turn & lost some time.Cory ( Butterick) & Andrew ( Matusiek) got past me while i was working my way back onto the trail & by then we were all pretty split up, so it was just a question of going flat out for the rest of the race really. I finally caught & passed Andrew on the last lap`.
`I`m very happy with 3rd today, we`re all going so fast, if you make any mistakes, its really game over. I`m pumped at a third top ten finish overall as well because it lets me know how i`m doing compared to the guys in the XC1 class.`
This weekends result also puts Jason in Third place overall in the battle for the XC2 PRO-LITES Championship. Next up on the GNCC trail is the Acerbis sponsored event held at the World famous Loretta Lynns race venue near Hurricane Mills,Tennessee.
