Second spot for Jason in North Carolina.
Monster Energy Andrews Yamaha`s Jason Thomas clinched
second place in the XC2 PRO-LITES Class at this weekend`s Motorcycle
USA.Com Yadkinville Stomp, round six of the 2010 GNCC Series. Returning
to form after a series of early season injuries, the YZ250 rider fought
hard during the second half of the race with KTM`s Jesse Robinson, who
has also been competing in this season`s XC2 PRO-LITES Class on a 250
two-stroke. The battle between these two riders went down to the wire,
with Jason finally nailing victory by less than a second,& snatching
8th place overall for his efforts. Thanks to this result, Jason remains
in 2nd place in the 2010 XC2 PRO-LITES Championship,& moves up to
9th place in the GNCC Series overall. Next weekend he will be returning
to Quebec, Canada, for the opening round of this season`s FMSQ
Cross-Country & Enduro-Cross Championship, two series which he won
in 2008. GNCC racing continues over the weekend of May 22nd/23rd,with
round seven of the Championship, the Moose Racing Mountain Ridge event,
being held at the Mountain Ridge ATV Resort, in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
