Jason Thomas takes a double win in Canada for Team Duroy Racing KTM Canada/Lachappelle Racing Products

Britain`s Jason Thomas made a spectacular return to the Off-Road racing scene in Quebec, Canada, this weekend, by winning both the Extreme-Cross race on Saturday,& Sunday`s 3 hour Cross-Country event at the opening round of the 2010 FMSQ Championship, held at St-Alphonse de Granby.

Fulfilling a promise he made in 2008 to return & compete again in the excellent FMSQ Series, Jason took up the offer of a guest appearance with Jef Dufour`s Duroy Racing Team, riding a KTM 250 XC supplied by KTM Canada,& with further support from his old friends Allan & Ann Lachapelle of Lachapelle Racing Products, Monster Energy, O`Neal Clothing, Maxxis Tires, Motovan, Forma Boots, Zox Helmets & `X` Brand Goggles.

Speaking after the weekend`s excitement, Jason had this to say: ` Its really great to be back racing again here in Canada with all the good friends i made back in `08.I see one or two of them at the GNCC`s from time to time, which is cool, but its just so much more fun to be riding up here with them all again at these brilliant FMSQ events. Im really grateful to Jeff from Duroy Racing,& Allan & Ann from LRP for putting this thing together for me,& also to Andy White from KTM Canada. Andy & i first talked about doing something again in Canada back in Las Vegas at the Enduro-Cross last fall,& its awesome that he,& the rest of the guys have made it happen. Back in `08 coming to Canada was really a turning point for me in my career,& i`ve never forgotten the support people here gave to me, so its really good to be able to come back, spend some time with them,& compete again in this series.`
Jason will now be returning to the United States for this coming weekends GNCC event, but he will be back in Canada again for the next FMSQ 3 hour race, which is being held on 30th May at Beauce, Quebec.
