THOMAS WINS IN PENNSYLVANIA.
8th Sep 2010

Monster Energy Andrews Yamaha`s Jason Thomas took his second GNCC XC2-PRO-LITES Class win of the 2010 season this weekend with an excellent performance in Pennsylvania at the Moose Mountain Ridge event.
Thomas,riding
Fred Andrews YZ250,was leading the entire field at the end of lap
two,closely followed by KTM`s Kailub Russell,the wet & slippery
forest conditions suiting both riders.Tangling with back-markers during
lap three slowed the battling pair down, but by the end of the fourth lap
Thomas had opened up close on a minute`s advantage over Russell,&
was back up to fourth position overall.Thomas continued to extend his
lead over the final two laps, ending the day two minutes ahead of
Russell,taking fourth place overall,& winning the XC2-PRO-LITES
Class.During his podium interview,Thomas made special mention of the
behind-the-scenes preparation which goes into GNCC racing:`I really want
to say a big thankyou today to my Mechanic,Joey Maurer, who has been
such a great support to me over the last couple of seasons here at the
GNCC`s.This week we spent time testing some new stuff on the bike,& i
feel its really made a big difference to the way i rode today. Thanks
Joey,& thankyou also to Fred,Phil,Nancy,Big John,Dave,& Morgan
for being such a great team.`
Jason returns to Canada next weekend for round two of the 2010 FMSQ Championship,& GNCC racing returns again in two week`s time from Sunday Creek Raceway,Millfield,Ohio, with round seven of the series, the Wiseco John Penton event.
