SNOWSHOE GNCC SECOND FOR JASON THOMAS.
7th Sep 2010
Monster Energy Andrews Yamaha`s Jason Thomas has scored a superb 2nd place result in the XC2 PRO-LITES Class at the Motorcycle-USA.com Snowshoe GNCC in West Virginia this weekend.
Racing the Fred Andrews
YZ250 Two-Stroke,Jason improved on the position he scored in this event
last year,by finishing in 4th place overall.Once again the GNCC Snowshoe
event was extremely well attended, with an excellent prize-fund of over
$50,000. The Snowshoe GNCC event is very special,as it utilises a Ski
Resort complex, high in the Appalachian Mountains. The competitors &
race fans stay in Hotels & Ski-Lodges,turning the resort into a
festival theme-park of Off-Road entertainment for the entire weekend. The
races themselves start from the main street of the complex,& the
demanding track criss-crosses the mountainsides & Ski-Runs which
surround Snowshoe itself. This event also marks the beginning of Summer
Break for the GNCC racers, the next round of the series, the Can-Am
Unadilla race in New Berlin,New York, doesn`t take place until the
weekend of September 11th-12th. There`s no sign of a summer holiday for
Jason just yet though,as he returns to Canada on Wednesday, for two
weekends worth of back-to-back FMSQ Championship racing in Quebec. As
the mid-point of the 2010 Season approaches,Jason is currently in 2nd
place in the XC2 PRO-LITES Class at the U.S.GNCC`s,& he holds 1st
place in both the Canadian FMSQ Cross-Country,& Enduro-Cross
Championships.
