7th Sep 2010
Team Duroy Racing/ KTM Canada/LRP/Monster Energy`s Jason Thomas made it 6 victories from 6 starts in this season`s FMSQ Cross-Country Championship on Sunday in Rockland, Ontario, Canada.
Racing a KTM250XC two-stroke
machine, The 26 year-old British rider had another great ride at the
popular & impeccably well organized FMSQ event, giving the large
crowd plenty of entertainment along the way!! Jason had this to say
after the race: `Its been really great to come back to Canada after my
summer vacation in the U.K. & take another win here in Ontario. I
actually only managed to get one full weekend off this summer, because I
was offered a guest ride on a KTM250XC in the U.K. by Richard Baker of
VCRacing,& my long-time friend & supporter Rudy Austin. I had a
great time with them,& was really pumped to win a couple of races,
especially the British Cross-Country Championship round at Canada
Height`s last weekend. It was good to see some old friends again in the
U.K., particularly Ady Smith & Mark Gessey, both of whom played a
very big part in helping me get to where i am today. I would like to
thank everybody who helped me whilst i was back home,& also say a
very big thank you to my sponsors here in Canada this weekend, Jef at
Duroy, Andy at KTM, Allan & Ann at LRP, the team at Monster Energy,
O`Neal Clothing, Maxxis Tires, Motovan, Forma Boots & `X` Brand
Goggles.` Jason has now returned to the United States to begin
preparations for the 2nd half of the GNCC season, but will be back
racing in Canada again at the next round of the FMSQ Cross-Country
Championship, taking place on Sunday 22nd August, at Ormstown, Quebec.
