GOLDEN WEEKEND TO REMEMBER FOR PALMER MOTORSPORTS JASON THOMAS!!
22nd May 2017

There are memorable event's in a Racer's career which, when new season's have come & gone, become legends recounted around a table in the snug on a Winter's evening. For Jason Thomas, this past weekend's activities will surely be one of them. Following the re-scheduling of the GNCC Championship round 6, Thomas hatched a plan to combine two races in different States over one grueling weekend. Leaving his home in North Carolina on Friday afternoon, he drove across country to Sedalia, Missouri, to compete in round three of the OMA Nationals Championship. Aboard his trusty Palmer Motorsports Husqvarna 125, Thomas made the most of the tough, muddy conditions to take the Pro Class win, by a margin of less than two seconds, becoming the first Racer in OMA history to overall one of their Championship events on a 125. With stage one of the plan complete, & the Missouri mud still wet on the little Husky, (and his Moose Racing kit), in the back of the van, Thomas drove through the night to Peru, Indiana, ready for Sunday's GNCC Championship race. Putting the hammer down from the get-go, Jason took the $100 Wiseco Performance Products Holeshot Award, & soon opened up a healthy lead which he extended further as the race went on. Once again, the muddy conditions suited this most committed & passionate of Racer's, & he crossed the finish line in style for his second FMF XC3 Pro-Am Class Victory & an impressive 8th spot overall. Two wins in two States in two days. Now that's Dedication!! Picture credit: Ken Hill.
